This weekend we helped throw a baby shower for my mom's cousin, Joanne. Opening gifts...

Andrea, Elaina and the older cousins were awesome at watching all of the little kids downstairs!

Cleaning the Shoe Closet

Andi and I took on the project of cleaning and organizing the shoe closet.....

Yikes!!

Well, it started out as a mess but the final product turned out great! Dad ended up building a new shelf for the closet and now it's nice and organized.... I hope it stays that way!

Mom found out that she broke the 5th metatarsal in her foot. She is in a removable cast right now and is staying off of her foot for the next week. Hopefully then she will be able to walk in the cast and in 2 or 3 weeks be able to drive.

Dad and Mom's Trip to South Haven

Last Friday -Sunday Dad and Mom went to South Haven for their anniversary.
They went to some beautiful places there and saw lots of orchards.

Unfortunately, as Mom was getting ready to leave Friday afternoon she broke her foot. They were still able to go on their trip, though. She is on crutches now and is hoping for a quick recovery. Right now she doesn't have a cast or anything but will be seeing the doctor soon, so hopefully we will know more within the next few days.

♪♫ Musical News ♫♪

Last week Andrea got her 3/4 size cello!!! She is so excited!

Orchestra auditions are this weekend so we have both been practicing a lot! She is loving her new cello!

Ian decided that he really wanted to start piano and violin lessons (I told him piano was first!). We got him his first piano books and started lessons.
Maybe when he gets a little bit older we'll start violin...
